Tattoo You by John Bannon

What starts as a simple prediction effect ends with a spectator’s signature visibly moving to a different card. John Bannon’s Tattoo You is a powerful effect that your spectators don’t see coming. It’s one of those strange effects where it seems like you make an impossible object in real-time that you can then give away as a souvenir.

Here’s what happens:

A card is selected from the deck and noted by the spectator. The spectator then puts their initials or signature on the face of the card. A prediction card that has a very different back design from the deck in play is introduced as the prediction card and revealed to be the match. The performer then rubs the two matching cards together and the signature visibly transfers onto the prediction card, which can then be given away as a souvenir.

Tattoo You is a quirky little trick with a little bit of everything. A little bit of mentalism, a little bit of magic, and a lot of fun to perform. Not only is it easy to do, but John teaches some very interesting sleight of hand that every card worker will want to learn.
