Every Card You Take by Sylvain Juzan
From Luxembourg close-up magician Sylvain Juzan comes this remarkable collection of 15 never-published card moves and effects taken directly from his professional repertoire.
The effects Sylvain offers here are not difficult to master, but his routines will confound re-construction efforts by critical thinking laymen and professional magicians alike. And if they can’t figure it out, it must be magic!
Among other effects and moves taught, you will learn a wonderful sleight from French card genius Bernard Bilis who showed Sylvain one of his best-kept secrets years ago, and gave his permission
Curious Impuzzibilities by Jim Steinmeyer
Number eight, published in June 2020, features The Blunt Force, in which the spectator seems to predict your phone number, and the Excessive Force, a variation on the famous Nine Card Problem, in which the spectator perfectly arranges a packet of cards.
In addition, The “I Forgot of Something,” is an incredible interactive trick, perfect for one person or a thousand people. The Instructions What Make it Work and The Poem What Reads Your Mind are two ingenious mental routines, arranged to read the thoughts of spectators with almost nothing at all (or, in the case of the poem, with absolutely nothing!) eleven effects, 34 pages.
Find The Queen by Damien Vappereau
Damien Vappereau revisits “B’Wave” by Phil Goldstein. Discover a simple, automatic, direct and confusing version for the public.
BThe magician presents some cards face down while explaining that they are the four Queen. He then puts a card aside, still face down. Then the effect begins:
- A spectator chooses a color; the magician shows that he had predicted this color choice.
- Then, the spectator names a Queen, and the magician returns the card to the table. It is indeed the Queen named by the spectator.
