Most ACAAN’s require difficult memorization work, expensive gaffed decks, or advanced sleight of hand. On this project you are going to learn three different versions, that are all completely impromptu and require no memorization.

Zig Zag by Mickael Chatelain

A spectator selects a card (for example, the Queen of Hearts). The performer requests that they sign the front and/or back. The card is placed on top of the deck still in the performer’s hand. A ‘magic card’, with 2, quarter sized holes, is produced and placed on top of selected card. The performer makes a cutting motion with their fingers over the card. Then as the ‘magic card’ is slid away from the deck, you can see through the holes, that the selected card has indeed been cut in half! The ‘magic card’ is returned to its original position restoring the selected card, which the spectator can inspect and keep as a souvenir.
