iFlight is a “Ring Flight” effect where a borrowed finger ring ends up in the middle of your iPhone headset.

In actual performance, a finger ring is borrowed from a spectator.  It is placed in the performer’s fist.  The spectator places both her hands around the performer’s fist to ensure that her ring is safe inside his fist.  The performer brings out a Sharpie pen and uses it like a magic wand and waves it over his fist.  He opens his fist and the spectator’s ring is gone.  Attention is directed to his iPhone placed half-way sticking out of his back trouser pocket.  Wrapped around the iPhone is the headset.  Trapped in the middle of the headset cables is the spectator’s ring.  The headset is taken off the iPhone and unraveled.  The borrowed ring is indeed found strung in the middle of the iPhone headset’s cables!

This version of “Ring Flight” has the following advantages over other standard types:

• It does not use a reel.  This eliminates the possibilities of the line breaking or the ring getting stuck during its flight to the destination.

• The ring ends up in the middle of a wrapped iPhone headset’s cables.  iPhones and headsets are the most common pieces of personal items carried by almost everyone.  Doing magic with them makes it memorable to everyone.

You receive the special something that allows you to easily load the ring onto the iPhone headset, and a password to access the online instructions.  You supply your own iPhone and headset as both of these items are not gimmicked.

The online video provides 2 separate sets of instructions.  Each set is conducted by a different magician, the second one being the originator Bill Perkins himself.  Both magicians take you through the same sequence: his live performance, how to set up the iPhone and head set, and full explanations on how to perform the effect.

The illusion of the ring in the middle of the wrapped headset cables is most convincing.  It must have taken the originator a lot of trials and errors to arrive at this clever method.  The entire effect is easy to do.
